  1. The Championship's Objective:

Our aim is to introduce Hungary to the global fitness community, inviting foreign athletes to experience both competition and culture. Also, we would like to create a central hub for the Hungarian fitness community, by offering a world-class event for local athletes.

Maximum number of competitors: individual: 180; team: 50 teams

The organizers reserve the right to reject entries beyond the 180/50 (individual/team) registrations. The affected participant will be notified via the email provided at registration without delay, but no later than within 48 hours.

Individual event:

  • Qualification fee: 10€/person
  • Participation fee upon successful qualification: 90€

Team event: 250€/team

Registration is exclusively possible through the https://hungarianthrowdown.com/ website. Payment is made online via the SimplePay platform. An online invoice will be sent via email to the registered competitor following a successful transaction.

IMPORTANT! By submitting the registration, the competitor acknowledges that if they are unable to participate in the event, the main organizer is unable to refund the registration fee in any form. The competitor cannot oblige the organizer to refund the money.

    1. Competition Description:

The competition will be held at the address mentioned above, in and around the Nagyerdei Stadium, at the times determined by the organizers. If a competitor is not at the starting line at least 3 minutes before their allocated start time, they will be disqualified, against which there is no appeal.

The aim of the competition is for the competitor to complete the specified tasks within the shortest time possible, complying the rules. Only competitors who have reached the age of 18 may participate in the individual competition at their own risk. Competitors under the age of 18 may only participate in the team competition with parental consent!

Individual events:

Participation in the competition in individual events is dependent on the completion of the online qualification tasks. Competitors in individual events will compete in RX category. Minimum expectations at Advanced (Rx): You perform 90%+ benchmark workouts with Rx weights and movements. Muscle ups, handstand push ups, and all advanced movements are programmed in this division. Common WODs you should be able to do Rx are Fran, Elizabeth, Diane, Grace, Isabel, and Mary. The list of common weights and movements is down below:

Team events:

There is no online qualification round for team competitions. After paying the registration fee, all teams are eligible to participate in the competition. Teams will compete in the 'Intermediate' category. Minimum expectations at Intermediate (Teams): You perform roughly 50% of the movements Rx but modify many classic WODs due to strength or gymnastic necessity. People in this division can generally do a kipping pull up (but maybe not strict one yet). Handstand push ups are modified in this division. Traditionally scaling involves a reduction in the weight from Rx. Double unders are optional and sometimes allowed in combination with single unders. Rope climbs are typically not modified for this division. The list of common weights and movements that Intermediate competitors should be able to do is down below:

12.Health Regulations

Health insurance on the competition site will be provided by the health professionals of Kovács Medical. Participation in the competition is at one's own risk. By submitting the registration, every participant acknowledges that the organizers bear no responsibility for any injuries that may occur. Competitors under the age of 18 cannot participate in individual events. In team competitions, competitors under the age of 18 may only participate with a written parental consent form. The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the health regulations section in case of legislative changes.

 

13.Appeals

Competitors may lodge an appeal if they perceive any issues with the tasks. (Detailed appeal regulations will be available in a separate annex.) - The appeal must be submitted by the competitor or by a representative approved by the competitor. - The appeal must be made in writing using the available form. In addition to the written submission, the appellant must personally coordinate the appeal process with the designated official responsible for adjudication (Appeals manager). - Appeals must be made within a maximum of 30 minutes after the last race of the competition day. After this time, the organizers will immediately reject the appeal. - Appeals will be reviewed by a 3-member committee composed of: Competition organizer, Chief referee, Head Judge. - The outcome of the appeal will be communicated in writing to the competitor or their representative via the contact details provided on the form as soon as possible.

Athletics data

 

  • In case of members that participate in a Competition event CMSE collects the following personally identifiable information per competition (Athletics Data):

 

  • Your contact email (this may be different from the email address referred to in the 'Account Information' section)
  • Your name
  • Your gender
  • Your city town or country, should you choose to provide one
  • Your date of birth
  • Your affiliate club that you are a member of, should you choos to provide one
  • Performance information (scores) regarding the workouts of the competition Event

 

  • The collection and processing of this kind of data is necessary for CMSE to provide all the required services that should be available to competition Organizers and athletes as explained in the next section 'Use of your Personal Information'.

 

  • All Athletics Data (except for scores) are collected when you are registering to a competition event or when someone else registers you on your behalf (for example when you participate in a Team event or when a fellow athlete buys a registration ticket on your behalf). Athletic Data are specific to the competition and the competition Organizer and are not shared among different competition Organizers.

 

Anonymous demographic information

 

  • The Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.   1. Athletics Data Usage

 

  • We use your 'Athletics Data' to support competition event operations and to provide meaningful results of the competition events.

 

  • We use your contact email to provide a communication channel between you and the competition provider. The purpose of this communication channel is to notify you about competition details (e.g. invitation details, important scheduling information, urgent changes etc). In those cases, your contact details (e-mail, name) may be transferred to the competition provider. If you register to a competition Event using www.hungarianthrowdown.com your consent will be specifically asked during event registration. If another user registers you to a competition Event using www.hungarianthrowdown.com on your behalf you will be notified.

 

  • We use your name to publish it as part of the results of the Competition Event

 

  • We may use your age to cross check that you are registering to a compatible athlete division as certain divisions have age constraints. We do not publish your exact age. We publish your age range (category) as part of the results of the competition event.

 

  • We may use your gender to cross-check that you are registering to a compatible athlete division as divisions have gender constraints. We publish your gender as part of the results of the competition event.

 

  • We publish your city/town or country as part of the results of the competition event.

 

  • We publish your affiliate club membership as part of the results of the competition event.

 

  • We publish your performance information (scores) as part of the results of the competition event.

 

Anonymous demographic information

 

  • This information is used by CMSEfor the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Website.

 

  • CMSE does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

 

  • CMSE keeps track of the Website and pages our customers visit in order to determine what Website services are the most popular.

Purpose of data management: CMSE manages the data of the persons concerned in order to maintain the user account created by the registered persons in order to secure the entries they wish to purchase for persons registered through the website

Purpose of data management: The purpose of data management is to issue invoices during the continuation of the economic activity of the Data Controller, as well as to keep the invoices issued by the CMSE in accordance with legal obligations

Legal basis for data management: The data management of the Data Controller is Article 6 (1) point b) of the GDPR, the data management is necessary for the performance of a contract in which the data subject is one of the parties, or it is necessary to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to the conclusion of the contract, as well as the VAT CXXVII of 2007 Act § 159(1) and § 169(2) of Act C of 2000 on accounting.
